The Continental Quilt (2007)
Don't make contingency plans! You're preparing for pessimism...Don't faulter at your footsteps! You no longer believe in yourself...Don't make excuses!Be creative in other departments... If you fail to plan ... you plan to failDon't work there because the pay is goodWork there because the comfort is goodDon't let other people bring you downRather let them bring you straightOr let them help you forward If you're lying under this duvet of doubt,Toss around ... change sides of the bedSee life in a different light! It's not a bad day, it's your day for mishaps...It's not a fail, it's a chance to improve...Give people the benefit of the doubtDon't give in to common criticismBut be aware of those who mean well by it... Get out of bed on the right footSing the most beautiful noteQuote Shakespeare's most jovial pieceListen to jolly music and sing alongDance for no reason and scream! Blessed be the day when happiness speaksThe sun shines brighter on that dayCats and other beloved pets enjoy your presenceAnd the one you love dearlyStays with you for eternity...The World Through the Eyes of My Cat (2006)I’m allowed to lounge all day in your office.I am, I really, really am!I’m allowed to be a strange little menace.I am, I really, really am! Though you feed me but twice a day,I still love you as my family.Though I never keep danger at bay,You still love me as your family. I know how much you talk about meTo all your marvellous mates.Actually, I’m quite flattered to seeAll your friends fill my plates! I spoke to my sister, the bird-killer,And she is utterly jealousTo see you hold me, drinking a MillerAnd be so frivolous! You love that I am over eight kilosAnd that I’m really, really furry. You love that I sleep on your pillowsAnd make you sneeze and look blurry. As long as I can keep on eating my cheese,And melted chocolates as I please. As long as I can keep whining for food,Until it actually tastes good. I will keep entertaining you with my chirping,Barking, saying “Mam” and burping.I will fooling you into believing I’m innocent,So that I don’t become translucent. Yes, I’m fat, cuddly, adorable, playful,Lazy – really lazy – and mischievous.Yes, I smile a lot, always very cheerful,Too relaxed, always sun-tanning, pure bliss. Yes, I’m always hungry, food-moaner,Immature – I’m only two years young!Yes, I like to coax you with my horrid groan,But for heaven’s sake, I’m no nun! You guys can watch your silly tellyAs long as you feed me first!I will allow the cuddling on my tummyBut remember that I die of thirst If you don’t feed me to the time.I need a lot of attention!Introduce me first to your guests,Else you’ll get detention! So I am blessed to have such a familyWhose main priority will always be me!
Live the life of Hamlet: A Parody (2004)
Stop procrastinating
And do something old fool!
Make quick decisions.
Portray your antic disposition
But expect no sympathy.
Accept that family deaths occur, regularly.
Don’t attempt to murder new members.
So what if their marriage is incestuous,
Rely on your TRUE mates-
Maybe kill your fake friends
But do it quickly and quietly.
Fall in love and then defy them-
They’ll only go mad and die later.
Kill your dead dad’s brother while
Harassing your poor mother.
But clean up after yourself-
Mom won’t enjoy the stains.
Fancy a chat with a gravedigger?
If that’s not good enough, talk to a skull-
At least you know it won’t interrupt you.
Check beforehand if eavesdroppers are behind.
You’ll have fun in a vigorous catfight
With your ex’s sublime sibling.
Sounds better if your step-parent
Kills their newly wed partner too.
Maybe you’ll actually go insane for real,
Then you’ll become an anti-socialistic human.
More people will dislike you,
More people will want you dead.
If you’re a big-screen fan,
Sicken your folks by creating a disturbing movie.
Make your Step-Dad/uncle want to murder you.
He’s gone mental anyway; you’ll be helping him.
Invite the King of England over for tea,
Discuss the future,
Only before he decides to take over your country
While you’re being killed by your ex’s sublime sibling.
Hamlet’s life is a busy and frantic life.
But you’ll end up dying too
So you won’t need to worry there.
You would have lived a histrionically hectic life
Well…where do you want to start?
Shadows adrift from fairytale lands (2005)
With the cooling of the evening breeze
Comes the awakening of the midnight crickets.
Sparkling field-parties in my backyard meadows.
Lost birds and bees rent a motel for the night in the nearest tree
And happy owners enjoy their company.
Every creature smiles upon my garden,
Which brightens the greenery upon the colours
Where the darkness begins to duck and run!
Soft pillows of musically-talented green clovers
Whisper between mind and heart,
Gather closer and share stories of sunny days
Before the rising of the heaven’s fire appears as dawn breaks.
Fairy-shaped shadows arouse all evening lives.
Shelter from enchanted wings which covers pride,
Hides fear, brings joy and fulfilment and grace,
Capture beauty, contentment, acceptance…relief!
Strange yet fascinating social groups gather:
Moths, mosquitoes, ants and antelopes…
Beetles, easels, caterpillars and worms…
Cats, dogs, hogs and knats!
Senior saints rest peacefully along the skirts
Where the patrolling of hard-shelled, armed beetles
Stand strong to protect the knowledgeable and carefree ones.
Life never ends even for the elderly!
No commander, leader, ruler. Everyone lives free!
Free from manipulation and stress. Free to fly!
Free to eat fresh fruit randomly and veggies all day!
Free as a flutterby, tupperfee…as a butterfly!
Delicately created homes, passed down from generations.
The pureness of relationships and hearts: inspiring, prospering.
Daffodils, lilies, sunflowers; all colours, all races!
Roses, hydrangeas, marigolds; all shapes and sizes!
All striving for unity!
Violence, cynicism, scepticism and malevolence: non-existent!
A neighbourhood of compassion, understanding, colour, vitality!
Flamboyance, elegance, sophisticated dancing of petals!
Eternal worldly smiles: accepted globally: expressed worldwide!
Superfluous difficulty in tasks, sombre justice of supreme ideas!
Slick, dazzling, personified characteristics of flowers
Draw the interest of rooted, handsome leaves: firm and flirtatious!
All love, no lust. True friendship, no betrayal.
Pollen as soft as talc and as yellow as lemon.
Vibrant colours as lively as the midnight life…
Silky stalks with fur coats live the high life
Accompanying the Geraniums to their banquets!
It’s the sensitive, heartfelt glory of the wildlife out there
…treat it with hospitality and care!
